3. Function: Detect engine knocking to suppress the occurrence of knocking. When the engineer adjusts the knock sensor, the knock vibration pattern will be written into the ECU. Once the knock sensor detects the vibration pattern, the ECU will determine the engine knock and then delay the ignition advance angle.
