It uses ADI's iCoupler® technology and integrates a three-channel isolator, a three-state differential line driver, a differential input receiver and an isoPower DC\/DC converter in a single package. The device uses a single 5V or 3.3V power supply, thus realizing a fully integrated signal and power isolation RS-485 solution. ADM2582E\/ADM2587E driver has a high-level active enable circuit, and also provides a high-level receiver active disable circuit, which can make the receiver output into a high impedance state. The device has current limiting and thermal shutdown features to prevent output short circuits and prevent excessive power consumption caused by bus contention. It is packaged in a 20-pin wide body SOIC and its rated operating temperature range is the industrial temperature range. The ADM2582E\/ADM2587E integrates isoPower technology, which uses high-frequency switching elements to transmit power through its transformer.
