Fill the sink with water and put your seeds on it. As long as there is enough water in the sink that can be absorbed by the fabric (capillary pads must be in contact with water), they will remain moist. Get a distance of more than a few centimeters. I have been using it to pump water out of the rain gutter, through the gaps in the plant gutter, and the gutter is on the top of the mat. It keeps the gutter moist enough that you have not watered more than Rainwater (also known as rainwater ditch planting system).
